Two week old itty bitty Hudson. He was a literal angel for his newborn session yesterday morning. He slept for the most part and didn’t make a peep. His mama must stare at him all day. He’s so cute and perfect.
A little late blogging this one, but just HAD to share this sweet family/newborn session! Baby Weston has the BEST big bro and big sis!! Lots of cuddles and kisses during this session.
Spent the late afternoon yesterday in beautiful New Orleans City Park with the Satterfields. I love this little family so much and can’t wait to watch Elliott Hayes grow!! The little teddy knit sweater, his chubby cheeks and perfectly round little head — it’s all too much! It was hard to choose just a few to post from this session. They’re all my favorites.
Can’t believe it’s been a full year + since I documented C’s arrival into the world. Time is a very strange thing. Feels like yesterday and feels like another lifetime ago all at the same time. Since then so much has happened, but one thing’s for sure - I have LOVED watching this little personality grow. We chose Lake Martin for our location and it did not disappoint. It was a perfect color palette and the rain held off for us.
Arthur Joseph is 6 months old! Always a fun time with the Sigur crew. Behind the scenes get pretty wild and we couldn’t do it without their Memere always helping! I love every Sigur session and getting to see these boys grow up together.
I can’t even explain how much love I have for these two. Anne-Marie has been my work bestie (gymnastics coach) for the last almost FIVE years!! I was already thrilled that she asked me to do a maternity session, but the best part was that Brett secretly messaged me to plan his proposal to her. The most perfect day and it ended with Mom + Dad getting engaged!! Can’t wait to meet baby BOY in just a few weeks.

How how how how how?! My nephew Bradley Thomas Bell is 6 Months Old today.
No one told me that becoming Na Na Nicole would literally change my life. I know that sounds cliché and kind of cringe, but it’s TRUE! I would do anything for my siblings’ children and I treat them as my own. My heart aches when I’m not with them and every second spent together is truly so special. I am so thankful to have spent Christmas + a few extra days with my nephew, Greyson.
Can you believe this session was only FIFTEEN minutes?! Trust me when I say that family portraits do NOT have to be long and stressful!

Loved this sweet family’s session at Lake Martin so much. We had the most beautiful weather and minimal mosquitos. Hudson loved looking for ducks and skipping rocks in the swamp. Can’t get more Louisiana than that!!

It’s hard to put into words just how special this boy is to me!! There’s just something so special about your siblings’ kids. Being Na Na to my niece and nephews has brought me more joy and love than I’ve ever felt.
G, I’ve loved you since the moment I knew you existed. I’ll cherish every froggie chest nap and sweet cuddle forever and ever. I wish you could stay little forever and at the same time can’t wait to watch you grow even more!
There’s nothing more special to me than working with a family on multiple occasions. I love getting to see families grow and especially love getting to document milestones and important moments. The Romeros have a special little place in my heart. Two years ago I got to meet sweet Charlie the day after she was born. I remember that day like it was yesterday. She was so little and squishy and now she’s about to be a big sister!
Just like anyone else, I can be very critical of photos of myself. I rarely get in front of the camera as I’m MUCH more comfortable BEHIND it / directing.
I’m usually taking head shots for Hunter when we travel, but this time he suggested that I get dressed and that he would take some of me. This is usually very uncomfortable for me since I can’t direct myself on how to pose or what to do. It has also made me more aware of how terrifying it is to be in front of a camera not knowing what I look like and trusting that the person taking the photos will direct me how to look and feel good.
To all of my clients : THANK YOU! Thank you for always trusting me to direct you. I want to make everyone’s session experience a GOOD one and something they can remember as being FUN and NOT scary or stressful.

I photographed Brandi and Jay’s wedding a few years back and I’m so so so excited for them to start this new chapter in their lives.
Avery Bell will be TWO in just a few weeks. I can’t even believe I just typed that! I took some 1 Month photos of Bradley and couldn’t help but sneak in a few with Avery, too!! I love these two tiny humans so much it hurts.
My third Sigur newborn session in four years. I just love these little boys and always feel like part of the family when I’m at their home for a session. Baby Arthur is sure to get LOADS of love from both of his big brothers. They’re the sweetest big bros and I can’t wait to watch them grow together.
Having grown children makes it harder to get family portraits but I urge everyone to MAKE. IT. HAPPEN. I loved being able to do this mini session for the Stansbury family while both of their daughters were in town. We had the most beautiful backdrop shooting around their home in Sugar Mill Pond.
Loved this sweet little Newborn Swaddle Session for Amelia Rose. She was the sleepiest little squish. Oh, and can we talk about this gorgeous head full of hair!! #hairgoals
