What’s better than a brand new fresh cuddly baby? TWO BRAND NEW FRESH CUDDLY BABIES!! Twin newborn sessions are extra special to me, being a twin myself. I seriously admire moms of multiples, I don’t know how you do it 24/7. I just have a cat and can barely function most days. Thankful for a job that lets me cuddle the babies, keeping my baby fever in check!
So many babies lately, my baby fever is soooooo bad!! I’m so excited to share this sweet boy’s newborn session. Big sis, Everly, snuggled and loved on her baby brother and my heart exploded at least 10 times.

So in love with every single photo from this senior session. The fall weather was perfect and Jungle Gardens in Avery Island, LA made the perfect backdrop for us. Victoria is so beautiful inside and out. I’m excited to share some of my favorites from her session with me.
Malise was one of my very first sessions of 2018 so it was fitting for her to also be my very last session of 2018. I can’t even believe that tiny little newborn is already ONE and I’m so thankful to be able to document such a sweet girl in her first year.

What’s better than baby giggles and sweet smiles during a newborn session?! My heart could explode!
I graduated high school with Laughlin’s sweet momma, so this session was a special one for me. I loved seeing Melanie as a mother and Laughlin sure is one lucky girl! Here are a few of my favorites from her session.
Fun fact: My degree is actually in Graphic Design. I took film photography a few semesters before graduating college and fell so hard in love with it. I loved it so much that I considered switching concentrations but knew I was too far in. Instead, I just took more photo classes to learn all that I could, even though I didn’t need those classes to graduate. #worthit
Jamie was my photo professor (film and digital) and easily one of my favorite teachers. He taught me how to process film, how important it is to back up your files, how to produce the perfect digital print and so much more. I’ve even gotten to model for his work and am happy to also call him a friend! I had the pleasure of shooting his wedding. So incredibly honored and excited to have been such a big part of Jamie and Brooke’s beautiful wedding day at White Oak Plantation in Baton Rouge.
Ellie is a long time friend of mine and also the owner of Ellion, a handmade candle company. I spent some time in her studio helping her with her entire candle making process. By helping, I mean messing up a few candles and mostly documenting. I’ve realized that candle pouring is definitely not my forte, but it was so much fun to see behind the scenes just how much goes into this product.

This little one is blessed with two of the sweetest parents in the world. I loved this maternity session in Broussard, LA and am so excited to share a few of my favorites!
Seeing my brother’s little family grow this year has made me so happy. I loved being able to take their family photos with the newest Bell girl, Avery! If you follow me on social media, you already know just how obsessed I am with my 3 month old niece. My heart could burst!
The first word that comes to mind when I think of Adam and Naiomi’s wedding day is DREAMY! From the moment I arrived to document Naiomi getting into her sari, to the heartfelt speeches and jam packed dance floor, everything felt so perfect.
Naiomi said that her favorite part of their wedding day was either dancing or seeing Adam’s face when she changed into her dress.

Naiomi wore a traditional sari from Sri Lanka. Her aunts and uncles picked out the fabric and then brought it to a tailor to make the blouse. She didn’t see the whole thing until the day before the wedding and it fit perfectly!
Adam and Naiomi did a First Look before the ceremony and it was magical. In the middle of a forest of aspens, it didn’t even feel like we were in Chicago.
I loved seeing the different traditions during their sweet ceremony.
We scheduled a few minutes directly after the ceremony to take a few portraits of the newly married couple. The venue had so much to offer and we took full advantage of the 15 minutes we scheduled.
Family and friends traveled across the country and even across oceans to see the couple vow their love to each other. It was truly heartwarming to see so much love in one space and I am thankful to be able to document such a beautiful day/night.
When your client has the PERFECT back yard right on the bayou... YES!! I love sessions with the Sigur family and seeing their family grow makes me so excited! Here are just a few from our family session a few weekends ago.
Last year while visiting Hunter in Australia, we met a newly engaged couple who wanted to hire both of us for their wedding. DREAM. COME. TRUE. Caleb and Teneale got married this past March in the most gorgeous vineyard in Adelaide, South Australia.
The ceremony and reception were at the beautiful Glen Ewin Estate right before sunset. Tears were flowing as Teneale walked down her outdoor aisle towards Caleb. The vows were emotional and the reception was a huge celebration!
Seeing my client's little ones grow over the course of a year is always so exciting. I have loved shooting Foster from birth until ONE YEAR and beyond. I have a few options for "Baby's First Year" listed on the website!
Traveling for sessions is always so exciting, especially when it's somewhere that I've never been before! I was so thrilled to be in Miami last year to shoot Adam and Naiomi's engagment photos. Their love story starts in PARIS! They met studying abroad. They stayed in touch after returning to the US and grew closer. They lived in New Orleans, and then Miami, and are now residing in Chicago! I absolutely cannot wait to shoot their wedding in Chicago next month. Here are a few of my favorites from their engagement session in MIAMI!
